Try this, even the fastest production car in the world, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, needs 9.2 seconds to cover the quarter mile.

Yes, it's my day-to-day-grind car.. yes, it's not the super sport version.. and yes, it's slower in the quarter mile than the super sport.  I'm not very proud of that fact, but, you gotta deal with what life hands you. It's a tough life I know.
